San Francisco International Airport’s newly renovated Terminal 3 is setting new standards in air travel with its innovative approach to airport design and interactive technology. Led by Gensler, the 65,000-square-foot renovation houses 10 United Airlines gates in boarding area E and employs a range of expressive architectural elements to showcase views of the airfield and sky. Highlighting service, hospitality and comfort, the $138 million renovation features progressive sustainability measures that promote well-being and includes a diverse mix of healthy offerings from local retailers and vendors. Amenities such as a yoga room, private dressing rooms, high-tech gate lounges and an interactive children’s play area reflect Gensler’s innovative airport design strategy and provide a truly unparalleled travel experience.
